What’s your foundation? Okay, what do I mean by that?
Well, we all have an ultimate authority—something we base our thinking on and interpret the world through. For many people, that standard is themselves—their own wisdom or feelings. But we can’t trust our own sinful hearts! They’ll quickly lead us astray.
Instead, we must start our thinking with the ultimate authority—the Word of God. God’s perfect, flawless, unchanging Word should be our starting point. That means we build our worldview from God’s Word and we test our own thoughts, opinions, and feelings against it to see if they’re right or wrong.
No, we’re not the authority—God is!
