Good News on Good Friday

As we approach Easter, I think of verses like: “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21). It’s because of this truth that “Good Friday”—the day we remember the death of our Savior—can be called “good.” In his death, Christ took our sin and the punishment of death for us. There is no longer any condemnation because of our sin for those who have trusted in Christ (Romans 8:1)! What good news!

To help you focus your thoughts on Christ and what he has done for us, I thought I would share with you an audiobook chapter from AiG’s The 10-Minute Bible Journey, an excellent book by Dale Mason of our staff that gives the big picture of Scripture, in chronological order, in 52 short reads. This chapter I’m sharing with you details the events surrounding the death and burial of the Lord Jesus. (On Easter Sunday, I’ll be sharing the chapter on Christ’s triumphant resurrection and ascension to the Father’s side.) This is a wonderful way to prepare your family even now to commemorate Easter.

You can download the Easter accounts from The 10-Minute Bible Journey for free from our online store. These accounts take you through Jesus’ final week, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension. The download includes the audiobook, e-book chapters, and coloring sheets. It’s a wonderful way to direct you and your family towards Christ and what he’s done for us.

You can find the full audiobook and book at our online store, AnswersBookstore.com.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
