Today’s Verse – Ecclesiastes 7:20 (KJV)

There is not a righteous man on earth who does what is right and never sins.

— Ecclesiastes 7:20

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

Yep, we’re all broken, flawed, and tainted. Or, at least that is what we were (cf. 1 Cor. 6:9-11). Praise God, because of his grace and the work of Jesus, we can stand before God holy, without blemish, and free from accusation (Col. 1:22).

My Prayer…

Forgiving Father and Holy God, thank you for redeeming me from my mortal and sinful ways by the sacrifice of Jesus. Thank you for empowering me to become more like him by the power of your Holy Spirit. Thank you for making me through grace what I could never be through my own efforts. Thank you, dear God, for saving me from my sin, ransoming me from my guilt, and redeeming me to share in your glory. In Jesus name I praise you. Amen.
