A Light That Shines, pt 2

“We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shinneth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in our hearts” (I Peter 1:19).
We first see confirmed once again the world is a dark place. It is dark because the true God is ignored and left out of its philosophies. But we find there is a light that shines. We have a sure word given us through men who were moved upon by the Holy Spirit. And then we see we are to take heed to it. Respecting the word, knowing the word is not enough—we must take heed to it. It must be applied and lived out in our lives.
