Jesus Saves, pt 2

“And she shall bring for a son, And thou shall call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21).

Jesus: what a name! He is Jesus the Christ, Jesus the Son of God, the great high priest, the King of kings, the name at which every knee will bow. Today we want to focus on what the name means—it means Savior. Jesus Saves!

First we look at the need of His work. He came to save sinners from their SIN. Then we see the certainty of His work. He SHALL save them. Next we consider the essence of His work. He shall SAVE them. And finally the focus of His work. He shall save HIS PEOPLE.
