In Hebrews chapter 13, and every year about this time, I think about the new year, and I think about how I would desire to choose a text that would be an encouragement to people and might inspire them to look ahead at the future and things like that. And of course, I've done that for, I don't know, about 44 years now and have preached something on when it comes down to the new year, starting of the new year. And of course, this is the last Sunday of this year, so it will be next Sunday when we meet together. It will be 2025. But anyway, those are always my thoughts. And I believe that the Lord has showed me a text that really would be a blessing to us this morning.
